Pensions dashboards – coming soon

All your pensions, all in one place.

Simply put, a pension dashboard combines information from all your pension savings – even those long-forgotten ones – in one convenient place. This will give you a full and meaningful overview of your potential retirement income.

How will it work?

All dashboards will use the government’s pensions finding service to find pensions matching your details.

  1. You’ll need to prove your identity using a GOV.UK One Login
  2. You’ll also need to enter your National Insurance number (if you know it)
  3. You’ll be matched with your pension records
  4. If any pension records are not an exact match – perhaps due to a name change since working for that employer – you’ll be given the option to contact the provider to confirm if the pension record belongs to you.
  5. If you have already retired or are semi-retired, the dashboard will not show you any pensions that are already in payment.

What will you be able to see and do on pensions dashboards?

This video explains what you’ll be able to see on pensions dashboards, from different types of pensions to estimated retirement income, and what you can do with this information.

When will I be able to use it?

Updates on the progress of pensions dashboards, as well as when they are likely to be available to the public, are published through the Pensions Dashboards Programme’s Progress update report.
